NATO Task Force X Deployment in the Baltic
In June 2025, Kraken Technology Group deployed K3 SCOUTs as part of NATO’s first ever Task Force X (TF-X) demonstration in the Baltic Sea.
Led by NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT), TF-X was created to rapidly field maritime autonomous systems and demonstrate credible, mission-ready capabilities in a real operational setting.
From day one, Kraken delivered.
Our K3 SCOUTs maintained continuous operational availability throughout the deployment, executing ISR taskings over multiple days in challenging conditions. The platforms were integrated into NATO command-and-control architecture and absorbed mid-mission modifications without disrupting tasking - highlighting both system maturity and operational flexibility.
Kraken arrived ready to operate. Thanks to prior reconnaissance, strong coordination with the host nation and exercise control, and our signature #GSD attitude, our team remained fully self-sufficient from launch to recovery.
The people who need to know how we performed, already do.
As NATO begins to implement its Rapid Adoption Action Plan, Kraken stands ready to deliver - with platforms that are operational today, a team that adapts in real time, and the ability to prototype and deploy at the speed of relevance.
“Participating in TF-X was an invaluable opportunity to operate alongside the end-users themselves. Working directly with military operators gave us firsthand insight into their challenges and future requirements - crucial for driving meaningful innovation. Just as importantly, it allowed us to prove to the Alliance and its member states that our platform is ready today to deliver real operational effects.”
